About the Owner
Hi, my name is Tracy. I'm a busy girl, I love animals and people - but not all people. I have a special place in my heart for special needs. I’m a post college graduate, I’ve worked in the corporate “trenches”, worked my way up into upper management, and now own my own businesses. I look forward to the future of genetics. I am satisfied to be me and I am thankful to those that have helped me get here.
I’m a busy girl
Between our large house, acreage, dogs, puppies, training services, kids, sports, and volunteering at school, I stay very, very busy. I am all about time management. Breeding at our level is such a huge undertaking and very demanding of my time. It’s a 7 days a week, 365 days a year job. I save all of my “work” time for my actualized clients and of course my breeding stock and puppies.
I love animals
My love for animals started on my parent's farm 1,000+ acre farm. Although in my teen years, I hated living on a farm, my memories and life experience are: Riding horses, bottle feeding calves, riding around on tractors with my dad, harvesting crops, helping bail hay, fishing, catching turtles & crawdads, doing chores with my 2 older sisters, babysitting my younger siblings, and taking care of an aquarium, hamsters, bunnies, chicks, dogs, and cats. My love for animals has carried over to my adulthood and into my children’s upbringing. We own(ed): Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, lizards, a flock of parakeets, and a large aquarium. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pets at our house!!
I love people, but not all people.
I love sweet, caring, kind-hearted, and innocent people. I shun demanding and dramatic people. I just don’t have the ability, time, or desire to associate or deal with them.
Special Needs people are special to me.
I have a special place in my heart for people and the parent’s of special needs individuals. With strong encouragement from my mom, I began volunteering my time socializing and assisting people with special needs in 7th grade. This carried on throughout high school and materialized into one of my 1st jobs working in a group home for special needs individuals. Looking back, it’s amazing that I landed this job with so much responsibility at such a young age! I realized how much joy animals can bring to special needs people when I first brought a van of individuals from the group home to my parent’s farm for a field trip. It really made their day and some small dreams come true. It felt so fulfilling - it made me feel like I could do more for them without sacrificing myself. As a result, I continue to love helping people with specials needs by providing pups with the potential to become Service Dogs at varying levels.
After high school I worked and paid my own way through college by waitressing, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from a top 4 business school: The University of Illinois. In my professional career, I earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation. Year after year, I achieved within the top 4 rankings for financial advisers in the AZ/CO region. When I was promoted to the Regional Manager of AZ/CO, I was the top ranked manager by regional sales achievement every year that I served.
From Corporate to Business Owner
I come from a long line of business owners and entrepreneurs. After experiencing corporate burn-out, my husband encouraged me to stay at home with the kids. I tried, I couldn’t sit still. I found out that I’m happiest when I’m striving.
Looking forward to the Future
I find genetics fascinating and I believe it's the way of the future. I look forward to enhancing the Labrador Retriever & Labradoodle breeds as I continue to employ genetic testing and selective breeding to it’s fullest extent. I envision low shedding labs and I expect within 2-3 years to be able to produce the world’s first “low shedding” labs.
Satisfied to be Me
I have lived over seas twice now, sewn my wild oats, traveled the world, and can speak Spanish fairly well. I feel like I've lived a full, well balanced life. I love what I do, I feel blessed that I love my life, husband, kids, and animals. :)
First, I am thankful to God - you continue to turn my lemons into lemonade!! I am very thankful to my husband who endured 5 years of financial losses and lots of craziness to get where we are at. I am thankful to my husband and my kids who always pitch in when I need them to. I am thankful to my Mom for encouraging me to work with special needs people. I am thankful to my Dad and my sister who helped steer me towards breeding. I am thankful to my sister Jody who steered me towards Labradoodles and kept me focused on quality. Last but not least, I am so thankful to my clients who value quality in breeding, without you, none of this would be possible.
Thank you!! XOX
